WHO CAN DRIVE?
Our standard insurance covers UK licence holders who are 25 to 75 years old. Extra insurance criteria apply to people carriers, see Rental Information on back of brochure. Special terms are available for UK licence holders aged 21 to 24 & 76 to 79. Drivers on foreign licences must also produce their passport at the time of hire. UK Drivers without their licences may be able to drive, provided we can obtain telephone clearance from the DVLA.
WHAT'S INCLUDED?
• Fully Comprehensive Insurance (subject to an excess).
• Unlimited mileage allowance on the island.
OPTIONAL ITEMS
• Collision Damage Liability Fee (CDL) Groups 1 to 7.
• Autos & Estates £7.50 per day - reduces excess from £400 to £100.
• MPV’s £15.00 per day - reduces excess from £650 to £250.
• Additional driver £5.00 per driver, per day, per vehicle and is subject to a maximum charge of £50.00 per person.

RENTAL INFORMATION
The following information is provided for ease of reference. Our full Terms and Conditions are contained in the Rental Agreement.
RATES
– all rates quoted are for one driver and are subject to change without notice. Fuel is not included.
INSURANCE
– all vehicles are covered by fully comprehensive insurance, subject to the appropriate excess, unless otherwise stated. A copy of the policy is available for inspection upon request.
DRIVER QUALIFICATION
– Drivers must be aged between 25 and 75 years at the time of hire when standard conditions apply. Drivers aged 21 to 24 and 76 to 79 years may be accepted but are subject to special terms and conditions. If you will be in this age group at the time of hire please contact us for further details. A full valid Driving Licence, free from any endorsements, which must have been held for at least one year, must be produced at the time of hire along with at least one form of identification that is acceptable to our insurers. Certain minor endorsements may be acceptable by our insurers – please contact us
for further details. We can also accept valid overseas driving licences for non-UK residents at our discretion and a different accidental damage excess will apply (ask for details).
SMOKING
- in accordance with UK Smoke Free Legislation, we operate a complete NO SMOKING Policy in all our business premises and our vehicles, as it is illegal to smoke in a self-drive rental vehicle.
ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
– at our discretion on payment of an additional premium.
COLLISION DAMAGE LIABILITY FEE
– the hirer is responsible for the payment of an excess charge in the event of any damage caused to the rental vehicle. An additional payment termed CDL may be made to waive part of the excess. CDL is only available to hirers with a UK driving licence. We may allow other hirers to take out CDL at our discretion.
DEPOSIT
– a deposit equivalent to either the full accidental damage excess, or the reduced amount if CDL has been taken out, for the group of vehicle being hired must be held whilst the vehicle is in the possession of the hirer.
PAYMENT
– both the deposit and hire may be paid in cash, debit card or bank payment.
EXTENSION OF RENTAL PERIOD
– rentals may only be extended by prior arrangement before the initial period of hire expires and further payment will be required. Failure to comply with the condition may render void the insurance cover provided.
FOREIGN TRAVEL – vehicles must not be taken outside of mainland Britain (i.e. England, Scotland and Wales), without the prior permission of the lessor.
CANCELLATION OR AMENDMENT BY HIRER
– to be made in writing. Where a vehicle booking is cancelled by the hirer, for any reason, more than 28 days prior to the commencement of the rental, all or part of the booking deposit may be refunded at our discretion. The booking deposit will be forfeited in respect of cancellations 28 days or less prior to the commencement of the hire. For any alterations and amendments to the original booking we reserve the right to charge an administration fee.
VEHICLE AVAILABILITY
– while every effort is made to provide the vehicle reserved, it may be necessary to either substitute an alternative vehicle, or to cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances and in the event of cancellation we will accept no liability as a result and we therefore suggest that suitable insurance cover is taken out.

OVERSEAS DRIVERS INFORMATION
Our insurance company allow us to cover drivers who can produce a driving licence written in English or an EU issued licence. However, the accidental damage excess will be higher and we will need to hold a larger deposit.
We can also accept an IDP (International Driving Permit) but we still need to see the original licence from their country of residence where the IDP was issued. All drivers with a non-UK/EU driving licence should produce their passport as well.
